Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PDF file?

A PDF file is a commonly used graphic file. PDFs are best viewed with Adobe Reader (but there are other programs that can read PDFs). If you would like to download Adobe Reader for free, click here.

Which browser should I use?

To get the latest features, use a supported browser.  Our downloads support the current and earlier major release of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.

Be sure Javascript is enabled on your browser. You can check if Javascript is enabled by clicking here.

What if I can’t download a file?

Download problems may be related to a temporary connection issue or a browser issue. Refresh your browser and try again in a few minutes.

What if I can’t open a file?

Allow your file to download completely before trying to open it. Larger files vary in how long they take to download depending on your connection speed.

If your file has downloaded completely but still won’t open, make sure you have the correct software installed on your computer.

What if my file isn’t printing correctly?

Sometimes a PDF will look fine on your screen, but may not print out correctly (especially if the file is graphic-heavy). If this happens:

1.     Open the file in Adobe Reader.

2.     Click “Print” within the Adobe Reader application.

3.     Select “Adjust to fit,” if necessary.

4.     Click “Advanced.”

5.     Check the “Print as image” box.

Why is my PDF blurry? There are black lines where the images should be.

Newly created PDF files need to be opened with the latest Adobe Reader software. You can get that for free here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/

How do I open a PDF with Adobe Reader on a Mac?

Be sure that you have the latest Adobe Reader software installed on your computer.

The default PDF application on a Mac is called Preview. This program is not compatible with newer PDF files. You must take these steps to open your PDF with Adobe Reader:

1.     Highlight the PDF product icon with one click.

2.     Go to “File” at the top of the screen.

3.     Choose “Open with.”

4.     Select “Adobe Reader.”

5.     You may be prompted to make Adobe the default program when opening PDFs.
We suggest you click this option so you won’t have to repeat the steps above.

You can also download a PDF Datasheet: blurry pdf_1358875634.pdf. You will need the free Adobe Reader™ to view this file.
